About Rohan
Rohan is a communications professional having nearly a decade of experience in creative communication and social media. He has worked with UP Police’s emergency service UP112, where he built and led its social media communication from the ground up, growing its Twitter organically to over 5 lakh in two years through effective digital strategy, citizen-centric messaging, and culturally contextual memes.
At a time when government departments rarely used such formats, his innovative communication approach helped make public messaging more relatable and engaging. He helped bridge the perception gap between police and citizens, shifting the narrative from “police force” to “police service.” Several campaigns went viral and received national media coverage.
Rohan was an integral part of communication war rooms during the anti-CAA protests, the Ayodhya verdict, and the COVID-19, contributing to coordinated public messaging, fact-checks, and responses to misinformation.
In 2020, Rohan founded Illumineye Communications, a boutique firm that specialises in strategic communication, perception management, creative communication, social media strategy, crisis communication, political consulting, and media training. It works with police departments (Delhi, Uttarakhand, UP), government institutions, the Indian Army, political leaders, brands, and non-profits across India and internationally.
With nearly a decade of experience, Rohan has conceptualised several viral and high-impact campaigns for varied clientele. He has contributed to adding over 10 million organic followers to clients’ social media platforms.
Rohan is a visiting faculty at Delhi Police Academy and has trained more than 10,000 police personnel from multiple states in social media management, OSINT, and social media investigation. His work has been featured in national and international media and on the official page of Mann Ki Baat.
His campaign “Save for Later” was showcased at the Cannes Lions in 2025. He also serves as juror for international creative awards—ACT Care Awards 2025 and the PHNX 2026 Awards. His 11 campaigns are featured on Ads of the World and AdForum.
His recognitions include Creative Strategist of the Year 2023 by Marketing Mind, nomination for ET Now Leaders of Tomorrow Awards 2026 (Excellence in Professional and Business Services), nomination by UP Police for the International Association of Chiefs of Police 40 Under 40 Awards, recognition as Star Alumnus by the University of Lucknow, and the Award of Excellence from IHM Pusa.
